Medford —
Medford designer Silvana Costa, of Wicked Peacock Designs, and her team of fashion-forward savants took over the Brooks Estate Manor house in Medford on Feb. 27 for a fashion shoot.
The purpose was to photograph and launch Costa’s new line of cocktail rings, “Gypsy Glam,” made from re-purposed vintage jewelry.
Having grown-up in Medford, it was important for Costa to shoot at the Manor.
“I woke up one day and thought, we have to do the shoot at the Brooks Estate,” she said. “I wanted to photograph in a place with a historic-classy-vintage feel, but also somewhere that reflected where I came from as a way to reconnect with my roots, since I moved back to Medford after having left for almost ten years. Medford has a lot of charm, a lot of history, and I want to call some attention to it.”
Costa couldn’t have done it without the work of Adrienne Apel, caretaker of the Brooks Estate, Tom Lincoln, MBELT president, photographer Laura Parent of Relive Photography, stylist Amanda Maciel Antunes of d.aMa Designs, models Shannon O’Brien and Brehon Garcia-Dale and coordinating manager Becky Brackett.
