We’re all about planet friendly weddings: Recycled invitations, balsa wood flowers, (you know, the ones that last forever) and locally grown, organic foods… It all sounds fantastic. But eco-friendly dresses? Yikes! Hemp and burlap bags come to mind.

However, after last weeks amazing Project Runway, I dare say don’t discount hemp or burlap!  In fact, you might be saying – I might just want a burlap dress!   Yet, most brides have trouble equating eco-friendly dresses with eco-chic style especially in the absence of Tim Gunn’s watchful eyes.

Weddings Redefined We are thrilled that you are interested in attending 14 Stories's Weddings Redefined, a wedding planning workshop for engaged same-sex couples! Originally conceptualized and co-facilitated with the great folks GayWeddings.com, we led this workshop in Boston, Chicago and DC and it's been a big hit!




This revamped workshop emphasizes the nuts and bolts of wedding planning and reinforces the concept that your wedding is uniquely yours, with your vision, your personality and your own traditions. This highly interactive workshop and Q&A with the experts will leave you with the confidence and tools to plan your own wedding. We'll be touching fabric, looking at stationery and having fun thinking through wedding design. No sales pitches, just pure advice.


We receive great feedback at each class. At our last class, one couple told us, "It was very organized and great information was presented. We appreciated the comfortable, inviting atmosphere and loved meeting other couples that are dealing with their own wedding."


Cost is $50/couple and includes hors d'oeuvres, wine (courtesy of the Hard Rock Cafe) and a packet of materials. Registration is limited and pre-registration is required.

I love sharing the details from the wedding events that I photograph.  I have so many times that my brides and grooms will ask if I have ever photographed before at the venue that they have chosen.  Many times I have and some times I haven't, but their is never a time that it really makes a difference.  Every single event is completely different due the style, personal unique details that are incorporated and of course the very different personalities of the bride and groom.  It is so terrific to enter a brand new event and find a wonderful new palate for me to work with.  I love that and I hope you love my inspiration boards to show how different your event can be.

I LOVE NEW YORK.  Really, I love it more than any place ever.  The energy, the million different backdrops, the Meat Market, Chelsea Market, SoHo, Village, 5th Ave (the best for shopping) and so on.  When I get the opportunity to work with my brides and grooms in NYC for their weddings and/or engagement sessions I jump for the chance.  (It doesn't hurt that my family is there and I always get to see them and stay with them as well).

Max and Jen were terrific models.   I always ask my couples what their hobbies are, their loves, and dislikes as well as how they met.  What they had in common was shopping (Yay), the love of the city, Hanging out with each other.  Max is a huge football fan and Sundays are his day for the game.  You can't tear him away so we planned their engagement session on a very early Sunday morning.  Jen is a fashion girl.  She loves her shoes and as you will see we worked those beautiful shoes into the session to incorporate her "hobby".  Can't blame the girl.

After the session Max and Jen viewed these images and they each had a favorite of each other.  They asked me to put together a custom piece of art that would mesh the two images together as one.  This image came out to exactly what they were looking for and now they will have this in a fabulous canvas print in their home.  Here it is!

Here are some of the other highlights:

I love Veronique in Brookline Massachusetts - It is a fabulous place to photograph a wedding.  The atmosphere is nothing short of elegant!  Aviva and Steve had a beautiful Jewish Ceremony on site at the Veronique that was so traditional to the Jewish heritage.  All of their personal touches that made their wedding unique to them were perfect.  I just loved the votives and the vintage yet modern feel to the table settings.  It was a great combination of the two.  Check it out!

They met after two families had already begun. Two wonderful people with several beautiful children. I could not be more happy for this large extended modern day "Brady Bunch". Julie and Dave have the sweetest love and the most soothing parenting towards each others children. This wedding was more than just a wedding but a completion of a family union...

I wish you "All" the best love and luck in your future as the MOSES family. Congratulations Dave and Julie.

I had a really great time working with this couple.  They are so adorable and sweet that it made the session an extreme pleasure.  We started off working with the beautiful fall colors here in New Hampshire and then ended up in a salvage yard.  They were both very photogenic and I can't wait to shoot their wedding in the summer at The State Room in Boston.
